WHAT WILL YOUR D.A.R.E. PROGRAM BE NEXT YEAR

For Officers Trained and Certified in new Elementary kiR

• Student Planners have gone press and should be available for order through D.A.R.E. Catalog in the next few weeks.
• Student Planners cost is $1.29.
• Instructor's Manuals and Materials will be distributed to officers in the late September and early October 2012 at NYSDOA DARE Update Training.
• NYSDOA DARE Update Training will feature a lesson by lesson review and practice with new teaching strategies.
• Dates will be announced shortly, Locations are Monroe County, Westchester County and Warren County in Fall.
     

For Officers NOT Certified in new Elementary kiR

• Training leading to certification will be offered at DARE International Conference
• Officers may attend NYSDOA DARE Update Training in Fall 2012 or Montour Falls February 2013.
• Orders for new Elementary kiR Student Planners may be ordered following training.

OR

• Use current D.A.R.E. curriculum for 2012-2013 School Year
• Orders for Student Planners for current curriculum are due no later than May 18, 2012.
  
  

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
The current D.A.R.E, curriculum will be phased out this year and replaced by the new Elementary keepin' it REAL Program.

For those Officers planning to teach the current D.A.R.E. for one more year, orders for Student Planners must be ordered by May 18, 2012.
